My husband and I had a great experience here. The staff assisted us in a timely manner and the technicians were very gentle during x-rays and treatment. The staff and dentists clearly explained everything, so when my husband had additional work done, there were no billing surprises! HD Smile is not a fancy place but it has great dentists and good service.

The entire staff was extremely pleasant and did everything to make me feel welcome from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left. They called multiple times to ask me if would like an earlier appointment due to cancelations. They had all of my insurance information ready to go before I got there. I could tell immediately that customer service was a priority in this office and it was very refreshing.

I went to HD smile for around 3 years and interacted with the friendly staff every 6 months. They did a great job with my cleanings and any work that needed to be done was met with efficiency. I’m leaving a lower score because of how things were left on my last visit. I was told within 24 hours of my 5th visit (which was scheduled every 6 months out) that they no longer carried my insurance and told me to leave unless I pay the $75 cleaning fee. My insurance was consistently maintained and finding a new dentist is not a simple feat. I reluctantly paid the fee but I felt like they should have caught this discrepancy earlier and communicated it to me in the New Year when they knew their clients with specific insurances would not be able to utilize their services anymore. Maybe this is a management directive to inform clients within 24 hours prior their appointment about insurance discrepancies? I believe they should have simply gave me the standard cleaning as a customer service gesture. I was a responsive and consistent customer and felt a bad taste in my mouth after leaving. They told me they’d send me a Starbucks gift card for writing an honest review, which I then had to reach out to receive several days after I submitted the review.

Update: Deep cleaning happened today! I'm absolutely blown away by how wonderful this team is. Thank you so so much for taking care of me. You all made a very scary experience way less daunting and handled my pain with extraordinary precision. Cannot thank you enough. If I could, I'd hug all of you! I'm way less nervous for my next appointment. I was absolutely terrified to be seen by the dentist as I have not had the opportunity to be seen in a long time, being denied by the VA when requesting help certainly made me even more fearful. The moment I called to schedule my appointment I was met with the loveliest staff members Juan and Joanna. They were so kind. So generous in their time and energy. They listened to and put my fears to rest almost instantly. My anxiety was melted away with every minute I spent in the office. I felt so safe and understood. Everything from check in to the initial consultation with my dental professional was beyond wonderful. I am no longer scared of my dental future and feel confident that my oral health will improve exponentially with the help of the diligent and knowledgeable team I met today. Thank you so much, I can't wait to get started and have a beautiful smile!

I've been here twice, prices are very competitive. Friendly staff who can read a room & inject humor into a nerve racking procedure. Will continue to come here as long as I can. FYI they validate parking across the street but I always parked on the meters along Vine Street. They are located on the 2nd floor & accept Samsung Pay along with conventional payment methods.

It's a small dental practice but everyone working here is very kind and helpful - after not going to the dentist for so long I was pretty nervous going back in - but everyone really made me feel at home, communicated everything clearly, and one of the doctors was so personable I felt like I knew her forever. There are quite a few negative reviews of this place and that was not my experience but of course everyone is different. Debunking some people's comments: Money wise: let's be real anything healthcare especially high quality service like the dentist isn't cheap so why knock them for that? Wait time: they're busy and we're still in Covid times - Any other issues with the place: they're privately owned and after meeting the doctors (who are both very nice), it seems they're doing the best they can- If you're in the Hollywood area like me and looking for a great place for your smile, I highly recommend HD Smile Dental. Note: This is the nicest dental place I'v been to since college and I went to an out of state college!

I was fine until the anesthesia wore off. I realized I should have asked you before hand what I could take for the pain. Finally I was just so tired, pain or not, I fell asleep. I just switched ins. And switched to HD smile, they’ve handled my dental surgery and upkeep ever since. I was told by a dentist In the valley I needed thousands of work on cavities that I didn’t agree with. I get a second opinion from HD smile and they said there was nothing worth filling. When they could have agreed with the other dentist for the money. Great, friendly staff there, it’s right off Hollywood and vine so parking isn’t an issue either.
